The Derek Jeter engagement rumors appear to be true, as AM New York, MLB.com and many other sources are reporting that the Yankees captain will wed Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly on November 5, 2010. She's so pretty! I hope they have a long and happy marriage.

Is Derek Jeter religious? Paul, whose birthday is scheduled to take place one day after the wedding, guessed that he is "probably Mormon." This website claims otherwise. I wonder if new Angel Hideki Matsui will be at the wedding. I wonder if Jay-Z and Beyoncé will be there. I wonder if the Yankees will win the World Series again as a wedding present.

Speaking of presents, Kei recently sent me an amazing 2009 Baseball Yearbook accompanied by a very thoughtful selection of cards, including a Robinson Cano jersey card and a Derek Jeter rookie card. Thank you, Kei! I will definitely work on the 2010 Baseball Yearbook with you next year. Now that Fantasy Football is over, it's getting harder and harder to distract myself while awaiting April's arrival. Baseball, life is so much better when you're around.
